GA Black Violet Issues
Is anybody else having any quality issues with GA Black Violet right now? I bought some a while back and I am having a heck of a time with lots of tiny bubbles. Even when I mix it up, I still have lots of little bubbles. I have used this before many times and never had this issue. It is almost like working one of the crayons. Argh...
I have notified the company I purchased it through, but I want to find out if anybody else is experiencing a problem. The stuff I have really is probably only good for frit.
Looks like I will be backing my spheres and pendants with cobalt until I get this resolved.

I haven't had that problem. That is the only black I use (except for the very rare occasion that I need a black stringer). I use a lot of it, and I haven't seen anything like that.

i've never used black violet, but then only thing i can suggest if that if its acting like a crayon color try encasing it, maybe? what a pain in the ass, though.

I got some recently from ga directly...I noticed all the bubbles too...luckily they seemed to go away after I melted it in

I talked with GA and I am going to send it back to them so they can examine it. GA was great about it. I do wish ABR would have handled it though since I purchased it from them....

I have a couple of BV rods that pop just like soft glass. Wierd. Part of the rod is ok and then part of it just breaks off and goes flying. I labeled them and set them aside, if I get a bunch then I will complain. Got them from ABR as well.
