Default Clear nail polish as mask for tumbling etch?

Was thinking about trying to use clear nail polish as a mask medium to define "window" areas on clear glass before tumbling.

Want to achieve that frosted glass look for most of bead, with just a few areas of clear glass "window."

I would remove polish after tumbling. Has anybody tried this? I would be open to advice. Will nail polish survive the tumbling process? I was pretty sure any kind of sticky paper or vinyl would NOT survive.

I use polish as a mask when I do chemical etching but I don't think it would survive tumbling, it doesn't adhere that much to the glass.

I did not find anything that works as masking in a tumbler! I have tried nailpolish, pure glue, diluted glue, masking foil for sandblasting and window color.
