Default Which Bead Release for clean holes

I have been making large hole beads. I am have trouble getting all the bead release out. I was wondering which bead release that everyone was using on the big holes. ( or the heart and triangle mandrels) they look so clean.
Thanks,
Teresa

My favorite is Arrow Springs Dip-N-Go.

I use it on the heart/triangle mandrels and for Boro and I don't have any problems getting it out!

I use half a jar of Foster Fire and half a jar of Bucket of Mudd mixed together.. Thins down and smooths out the Foster Fire.. After soaking in water with a fabric softener, the beads nearly fall off sometimes and come clean easily using a dremel.

I think a lot of it has to do with what your cleaning the bead holes with. You can't beat a motorized bead hole cleaner or the diamond coated bits on a dremel tool. It removes ALL the bead release down to the glass.
Good luck...
Cheers, Larry

I'm currently testing Kragg Mudd and I'm pretty excited about the results I'm getting. VERY clean holes and very easy to release.

I've tried a bunch of them and I'm really impresses with how well the Bucket 'o Mud cleans up with my dremel. Definitely worth the investment IMO.

Ed Hoy has a new bead release called 'Pink Slipper' that I tried out when I was teaching there a couple months ago. The beads come off easily and it cleans out pretty darned well! *s*

I just hate to use the dremel it makes it all rough. The glass doesn't look smooth after using it. I have been using Alice's which I like. I also purchased a sonic cleaner hoping that would help.
Thanks for all the input.

Jana,

Thanks for the tip on the old mascara wand to clean the beads. I was going to go out and buy some pipe cleaners, now I'll just save those old mascara wands! I'm waiting for my order of ZippZ to arrive! I had a sample and this stuff is great for transparent beads!

Cheers
Kathy

Save the sonic cleaner for your jewelry. I have a cheap one that doesn't work at all (for beads), but I know someone who bought a professional one and it didn't help, either.

That would be my fault, I just found your email and responded. Joint email accounts are about as tricky to manage as joint checking accounts...

Post offices are closed today, but we can ship whatever you need Monday by Priority Mail. Hopefully that'll be soon enough.

Thanks for your interest,

John

We have a new formula called Smooth & TUFF - it can take the heat but the beads come off easily afterwards, very smooth holes, easy to clean. You can check out the thread that was in Tips
http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...t=47917&page=5
for info from several beadmakers.
