Default Uploading from Aviary to Etsy...blurry pics. Please help!

I am so freaking frustrated. I am using Aviary.com's Phoenix image editor to crop and save pics from my camera that I want to use on Etsy. Here's what I do.

Take the pic very close-up with my Nikon D50 with a macro lens. Upload the file to Aviary, zoom out to crop, zoom back and save. I then click on the saved pic and use "save as" to save it to My Pictures on my computer. Then I go to the Etsy listing and use Browse to upload the pic to Etsy. The images are not too small. I made sure I was above the low limit that makes them blurry when etsy resizes them

I'm ready to throw my computer out the window. Please help! Thanks.

Mary-Here's one of the images.

I tried pixlr.com this morning and it worked like a dream in a fraction of the time. Go figure! I'm off to try to get a refund from Aviary.

Mary,
You've saved your image as 644pix by 577pix
The size you want for Etsy images is no bigger then 430x430 pix

I've never used Aviary , I use photoshop.
In photoshop I go to Save for website and then make sure I've sized it to 430x430 pixels. Perfect every time.

this should be the right size.

Hi,

If your image is not square, then when etsy resizes it, it will become distorted.
I would always cut my first image square for Etsy so that it would show well as a thumbnail.
