I think that my children were playing with the digital camera but noone will admit it. When ever i take a picture it is blurry and even tho i am using a tripod it still is blurry. Anyone know what is wrong and if i should beat the kids?

did you check if they changed your focuse from spot to all over ? That could be it if your camera has that option.

i checked the camera and it desnt have a focus option but i spoke to the oldest and she thinks the 6 yr old touched the lens. so now i gotta figure out how to clean the camera lens. any ideas other then the possible dirty lens?

Is the automatic focus working? Maybe they turned that off.

Lord have mercy, I hope it wasn't an expensive camera!! If it's still blurry after you return all the settings back to default, you may be cooked. If those children dropped the camera (or otherwise physically beat it up) the lens system might be out of alignment or the sensor may be partly detached or somehow not where it has to be in relationship to the lens.

If it's worth salvaging, my suggestion is to take it to the camera shop and have the repair guys there look it over and make sure it isn't trashed. They can also help you with proper lens cleaning that won't scratch the glass.

OUCH!!
