FYI - I had a chance to play with some of these at Glass Stock
this year, and these are da bomb! I am loving them - and they are only
$20 per pound. Can't beat that!!!
*disclaimer - I (Karen Hardy) get NO money, NO freebies or anything else
promoting this. I actually do MYSELF a disservice, since any glass YOU buy
means less for me (I'll deal). I mean, you know, they are WELCOME to send
me a few pounds if they WANT to, but other than that, I get NUTTIN!
Anyhoooo, I bought some of the Bone Marrow, Banana Peel, Forest Friends,
and a bunch more that I can't remember the names off the top of my head.
They are so very yummy.
Get em while they are hot! (did I mention $20 a POUND!!!!) Cripes, I think I need more.....

whats up with the colors? are they tested compatible? or are they 'test' colors and not sure yet. ive been out of the loop for a bit, so im not familiar with them.
any idea of working characteristics or boiling issues?

"Unique" is their version of odd lots. For instance, they are doing a run of
Rasta gold, but instead of a deep gold color, for some reason, it's more of
a buttery yellow. So long as it's the same quality, they are selling it as an
off color of the original, or a "Unique".
And of course, if you really love it, you won't be able to get anymore.
Sucks. But that's the risk you take when you get an odd lot.
I have some treasured stashes that I'm down to my last rod, and I'm
just doling it out sparingly.
Luckily, the prices are exceptional, so at $20 it's worth it to try out
something cool. Really, I cannot ever remember buying a "Unique" color
that I've been unhappy with.

Dunno. Like I said, I'm not working for them. I'm just taking care of
all my boro peeps online - pointing out can't-miss deals.
But like I said, not only have I NEVER EVER gotten a bad Northstar
Unique, I also KNOW that the chance of unloading it is 110%.
If you don't like it, put a post in the garage sale. Each color is
SOMEONE'S favorite, and they will jump at the chance to get more.
There was a color a while back I got from them...like a wispy blue.
Didn't do jack for me. I was getting ready to put it up for sale, but
before that I asked if anyone had used this glass and gotten good
results. Someone posted a pic of that glass LAYERED over another
glass that was just incredible. The glass stayed with me. Wish I had more  .

You might think about using some of the opaques as backgrounds for those
silver colors. Or implosions. I get some great results with silver glass frits
and opaque base beads. Yum!

Ooh, yeah. I got a bunch of it at GS too and they are awesome.
Lots of silver and sparkle.
Ghostly Images is similar to Caramel.
Peachy Purple is similar to DAP.
Uncle Nester is similar to Loch Ness.
Green Mist is very cool and shimmery.
Shiny - not sure what it's like but it's COOL.
Rose Water is a really great reddish color.
I'm loving all of them. Might have to go back for more if there's any left.
ETA: Oops, they're out of most of the ones I mentioned. Sorry, guys.

I finally got mine that I ordered at GS. A friend who was driving brought it for me 'cause I was flying - and my savings would have gone toward luggage overload (LOL). Only they took the scenic route home and I just now got it. Can hardly wait to try it - and I have to work today - drat!!
