Asked my DH if I could go to bead making course in Florence (we're in SC & also have a Florence). He said, "Yeah. It's near the beach."
Is yours near the beach as well?

If you're ever looking for guest instructors, please let me know. Italy is on our short list of travel destinations that my girlfriend and I both want to visit, so I'd be more than happy to come...

We do plan on incorporating guest instructors into our program. Guest instructors would allow for a wider range of available courses. Our goal at the Artists' Workshop is to be as all-inclusive as possible. I'll keep your contact information and drop you a note when we are ready to move forward with that program.
This applies to any and all artists that are interested in working with us. Please feel free to contact me through our website:
www.beadedlily.com/shop/
Thanks! Tim

Hi Curly Irish Girl - (Hey, I'm Irish too - We're taking over the world!) If you are serious about a cooking class while in Tuscany, let me know because we have a relationship with one of the best in the area. Their facilities are a stone's-throw from our glass works studio. A very nice bunch and a beautiful cooking / teaching facility! Drop me a note through the site:

Thanks so much! That's very kind of you to say. We are very pleased with how the studio has turned out and where it is going. I've also been very pleased with the number of students I have and how many have signed up for continuing lessons - Always a positive sign!

Ciao Elena! Nice to see you here! I'm so glad you have hooked up with a studio so close to home. I am looking forward to my brief visit to Florence, hopefully the first of many. It's getting time to purchase my ticket. I'll be in touch .

Hi Ofilia - Let me know if you need accomodations while in Florence. We have an apartment just around the corner from our glass studio:

Elena knows the way!

That's awesome, Tim! But I will only be there for a couple nights possibly three, depending on the train schedule back to Venice. I'll be traveling with one of the other students in Lucio's group. I'll check if others in the group want to join us. Unfortunately I'm not able to dedicate a lot of time to this side excursion trip while in Italy. I have errands to run back to Murano to prepare things for Lucio's students. It's actually the first time I'm finally getting outside of Venice to explore. (I'm still so fascinated with Venice and have so much more to learn and explore there)
Well, I can't wait !! Your friend's cooking class sounds interesting too.....
I'll be in touch. Elena and I have only just started to correspond on plans. Grazie mille for the invite! I'll check back with you shortly.
Ciao,
Ofilia

I just wanted to say that we have had many students from the UK who have been raving about the inexpensive prices to fly Ryan Air from the UK to Italy. A number of folks looked at the overall cost of a beadmaking course and found that it was actually less expensive to go to Italy for a 3-day course than to take the train in to London for a 1 day course!!
Ryan Air flies out of Stansted airport to Pisa and then offers an 8 Euro round-trip shuttle to Florence. If you need help finding accommodations just give me a holler!
Tim
