mini cc & knob placement

Hello,

I have a new carlisle mini cc.

The oxygen and propane knobs are on the opposite sides from what I am used to. Is that the way this torch is supposed to be or do I have a torch that is defective or..........?

my mini has the oxygen on the right and propane on the left.

Not defective, but the earlier "first generation" torches had their knobs placed that way.
