Default Gold Wire on a bead

Before I break the bank ordering 14kt and 24kt wire, can someone tell me if the wire will melt to tiny dots on my bead that I am making, like sterling will?

Yes. Check out Beth Williams. She's been using it for years. Her beads are gorgeous.

Do they pop off like silver can and does? I know you can marver them in, but they still can/do pop off sometimes.
