Default how to make a pink cheetah print bead?

Why do I get the oddest requests? A lady wants me to make a pink cheetah print bead to make into a ring for her daughter. (I would wire wrap it into a ring) Of course she wants it in time for Christmas, so not much time for trial and error. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Seems like someone here posted a tut for animal print beads encased in amber glass ages ago (Search the free tutorials). Maybe you could just do that and use transparent pink. ?? *shrug*

There is an old leopard pattern that might work...

Colors used:

white (bead base)
Intense black stringer- pulled thinner but not thread sized
Sage

For yours: add a rubino encasement when done.

On the white base, draw a "C,"-- yes, like the letter C. Do them randomly all around the bead.

Then put a dot of sage in the middle of each randomly placed "C."

Melt them in. Encase in pink. When I made them, I encased with clear. It was years ago and I don't have any pictures.

I'm not sure if these were leopard or ocelot spots...

Alli, easy peasy sounds good to me! Bring it on.

Sue, great direction and I will give it a try. Sadly, I don't have any rubino, but I may have some sort of transparent pink.

And Chocake, thank you for recommending to search for 'animal print'. I put in 'cheetah', and got a bunch of results about torches. ha!

Thank you all so much for your quick advice!

This is how I did the ones above; I didn't encase, but did a couple more steps than Sue did:

Pick 3 colors in the same family; one should be much lighter than the other 2. Also grab a black stringer.

Make whatever shape bead you want out of the lightest color.

Randomly dot the darkest color on the bead, making the dots differing sizes. Melt in.

Around the edge of the dots, add smallish black blotches with the stringer, 1, 2 or 3 and they don't have to be the same size. Melt in.

Dot a bit of the medium color on top of the first color, letting it touch the edge of the black blotches. Melt in.

Viola! A leopard/cheetah bead!

I did mine with Effetre Alexandrite as the bead base, CIM Lapis as the dot base, CIM Tuxedo for the black and RB Lilac for the top dot.

HTH!
