Default Do You Use Oxygen-Safe Teflon Tape?

How many of you use oxygen-safe teflon tape on your fittings? More people seem to be aware it even exists now.Our insurance company makes us include a small roll with every whip hose we sell for liability coverage. They are starting to really crack down on anything having to due with oxygen.

Tell us more about this, please. Safety is everyone's first concern ( besides having "enough" glass)

All Teflon tape (PTFE) is compounded the same....... Oxygen rated tape is all about color of tape and application design specification and only real different is its guaranteed oil free....

Think your insurance company is over reacting.....

Yes I do. I order it from McMaster Carr. I also use the yellow for propane. No big deal.

Dale, you are right. The difference is the green is oil-free. I think Hammer is playing it smart. Oil + Oxygen = potential fire hazard. Why take a chance? Seems like cheap insurance to me.

The green is also easier to use. It's thicker. I love the stuff.
