Lampwork cross tutorial?
Is it possible to make a cross on the torch? I have been searching but haven't had any success so far. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

special mandrel
I think there is a special Mandrel. Somebody on LE has one. I don't know more though.
I'm sure they will post here.

I think it is the Versacube by Catt that is used to make crosses

I recently got a Versacube press from Cattwalk . . . this is my first cross I made with it, so it's super easy to use.
The tutorial/directions on her site give you all the help you need

beadstruck...yes you can and all you need is a marver. You don't need a special press or mandrel.
If you want i will get some pics of one being made so you can see.

Can't wait to see how this cross was made. Love the simplicity and pureness of the white.
Thanks for sharing

I did several attempts but about the only similarity to these (especially Ronnie's) is the wire working.
I'd love to see specific instructions. I usually make a barrel bead and add glass, hoping it retains a shape I like. Doing it this way I find I prefer the hole running from top to bottom. (They turn out ok.) But many of the people requesting crosses want the hole running the other direction. Those usually end up pretty waperjawed.

Virginia L makes beautiful crosses. When I was going to be baptised last year, I held off the ceremony until I could get one of her crosses. It is very special to me.
I've tried a couple but I don't do them well. Try to make one... it's all ppp.

Ginny and Ronnie, your crosses are gorgeous! Ronnie, I (and I think many others) would LOVE to see step-by-step pictures on how you made your cross. Please, when you get time? Thanks so much to both of you for sharing your pictures. I learn so much better from pictures as I'm a very visual learner.
Warmly, Marie C

I was just asked by a customer last night to make a cross for him. He wants the hole going through the top, which is extremely hard for me, trying to keep everything else straight and warm. I like yours Ronnie and I think the wire work will be the key. I sure would appreciate any advise you could give to making these without another press. Your's are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Well I see this thread was started on 06 but since Easter is coming I have some bead stores that have requested crosses. Did a tut ever get put in here? I hope I didn't miss it.

There were two threads. I am not sure a tut got posted in either one. I started working on one yesterday but my camera went dead. My tuts aren't up to 'local' standards but I'll add it to my site when I get it done.
