Default chili pepper kilns -- best price?

I don't know where else to post this but I am looking for a chili pepper kiln -- used is fine as long as it works. I'm looking to pay around $400 shipped. I know the price is well over $700 for a new one. I've seen them around at this price before on ebay. But I wasn't looking for a kiln at the time so I missed out on the deal. Anyone know where I can get one at this price? As I said, used and beat up is fine as long as it works! I already posted in the garage sale the other day, but something tells me it would get deleted if I quoted the price I am willing to pay.

I am not sure it would be deleted - that is reasonable information. You may not have any takers, but I would think you could name your price without problems on forum rules.

You can get a new one for less than $600, shipping included, so your price sounds reasonable.

The Paragon Bluebird Jr. is also about the same price, so with the size of kiln you're looking for, you'll probably find something used in your desired price range.

There are also good prices on kilns that are made of firebrick rather than the ceramic fiber, and they have a layaway plan that is very reasonable...

Lisi, this sounds good to me. Do you have one of these kilns? I've never been to the glasshive site but I'll check it out.
