Default Ventilation tubing through my window?

I am currently using a fan in the window for my ventilation setup. I know it's inadequate, so I want something better. I am thinking about using a 750cfm exhaust fan with some tubing attached, and vent it through the window. (The window is directly in front of my work bench. Would this be a good setup?

When I work inside I use a ventilator from Harbor Freight with the duct attachment.
It works fine in my opinion, I know what it feels like to get sick from fumes and I never feel that with this. It is loud, in nice weather I sit the ventilator out side just outside the window on a table and the run the duct deal through the window, propped up in front of the flame. I have a tarp deal I rigged up for the open window around the duck.
Some people will say this is not a good set up but like I said, I've never been sick from fumes using it...

Thank you Joni....I have heard so many conflicting ideas about ventilation setup it almost makes a person give up. Actually I've never felt sick from fumes with my current setup plus the room is really, really big. Like the size of a garage maybe even a little bigger. Your setup sounds ideal for me.
Thanks for the links....I love those prices!

I might mention that I shortened the duct to only about 4 ft I believe.
