Default Wire Wrapped bail for lampwork beads.

I had a couple request for a tutorial on a woven bail for lampwork beads and was wondering what you all thought of these. I've been tinkering around with different ideas and thought I would include different ways to use the same bail. This is 2 ways so far. They can be made with silver, copper, or both.

I bought a tutorial to make bails like them but can't seem to do it right. My wire gets tangled up and stuff. I don't remember the name of the lady I got them from - something like Acai or Aica or something like that. She has her own website.

ETA I took another look at yours and the second one looks VERY cool. Is it attached to beady looking piece that has a jump ring on it? I would so get it if that is the case.

I haven't started on the tutorial yet. I'm trying to come up with several different ways to use the same bail for a different look. In the first pic the bead is on the same wire as the bail and I just made a loop on the end to dangle a bead from. The bail in the second pic is finished off with a loop to attach a bead that has been threaded through a head pin.

Not sure if I should post this or not but thought I would point out that there is a tutorial out there already that looks very similar to what your bail looks like.http://www.jewelrylessons.com/tutori...ail-focal-bead

Hmmm! I don't know. Please tell me what you all think! Here is a picture of the 3 bails that I made for the tutorial. Each one is finished off differently and I was going to include all 3 bails in my tutorial. It looks like her weaving is a little different. It looks like she has 3 wires for the bail that she is weaving around but it is simular to mine. Please tell me what you think because I don't want to make anyone angry with me.

I love the first one with the rose, and the last one where it is inside the bead.
They are my favorite. But I Like them all. Very nice work. But I've never seen anything of your wirework ,that I didn't like.

Eni - That's whose tutorial I got. If you can tell us how to weave without getting our wire all tangled or kinked up I will buy it!

The 2 styles are similar, but different. It does look like Eni uses 3 wires to get that middle bump, & they carry through the bead to finish the bottom end. I like the simplicity of yours better, but love the rose flourish of that 1st one!

This would be a great idea! I usually just wire wrap my focals using larger seed beads or bead caps so the wrap doesn't fall through the bead hole.

Hey Jewlie: I lovelovelove your tutorials so will look forward to it! Just so you'll know though, there was a similar "tip" (not necessarily a tutorial) posted here on LE a month or so ago for a woven bail. If you're interested, you might do a search for it. (It may have been LE user "Sheila"???)

Keep up the great work!
Lea
