ok I guess I am dense or something! I did all the downloads, entered most of my glass. Went to open it with office that had excell with it. Problem is that appartently my msoffice is 32 bit and my access 2010 is 64 bit. Now I only have about 1/2 of my entries. Has the effetre but not the vetrofond. Incompatability? Think so but don't know what to do about it now. I don't mind re-entering if I can fix the problem. Thank you for any help you can give me.

that should not matter - it wouldnt have lost half your entries
when you say you only have half your entries, where are you getting that from? the my glass tab? - go back and make sure you've ticked the box that says "i have this colour"

in "add to or change my stash" just go to the colour you created, down the bottom of the left hand (your left) column is a check box that says "keep this colour?" select "No, Delete" and save
then when you go back to the main dashboard there is a blue button on the right that says "delete unwanted colours" just click that, you'll get a little warning that you're about to run a delete query, just say yes
i had to make it this way because with the runtime version everything has to be done by queries, also, this allows you to delete a whole bunch of colours in one go, you just go check the box on each of them then hit the blue delete button and theyre all gone

Deb,
I haven't kept up with this. If I download 1.3, how do I merge the info in 1.2? are you now selling this?

not selling it yet
if you have the full version of Access 2010 and know how to use it then you can just copy the info over from the relative tables - if you dont know how to do this pm me
if you have the runtime version then you cant - if you email me your copy of 1.2 i'll do it for you

Hmm, okay, Dumb question I'm sure. I bought Access 2010 and loaded it, and downloaded Stashmasters (looks awesome btw; cant' wait!). It is saved under one of my programs as Stashmaster 1.3 Zip file. When I open Access 2010, is it correct to click on File, and then Open and then highlight the Stashmaster 1.3? When I do, I receive this message "Unrecognizable database format 'C:\....
I can't seem to open this on Access 2010
I read through all 15 pages to see if others had this issue before I bugged you with this question. I did click on the properties and changed the "opens with" to Access 2010" as you advised someone else, but still doesn't open the database.
I KNOW I'm doing something dumb because it seems as if you have Access 2010, it's supposed to be a 5 minute kind of load. Any tips?
Thank you in advance for any guidance, and apologies if this is the bonehead-of-the-year question!

You probably did but just thought I'd ask. Did you unzip the file?

lol.... right click on the file and extract all. Make sure you know where the files are going.... ask me how I know.... lol... Hope that helps. That should give you the proper file.

hmm, did a right click, but there is no extract all option. Checked the opens, etc. to see if a multi window had that option, and it did not.
When you downloaded your stashmaster, does it matter where you saved it?
Anyone see an answer here?
Thanks if you do...and thank you Leslie!

Go to www.7zip.me for a free download to unzip your file. It does have the .zip extention right?

Yes, it shows it is a zip file. I downloaded the software, but DANG....now it's another, "what the heck do I do?" I thought there would be a click on an document to unzip it...but NOOOOOOOO. (Can you tell I'm getting frustrated?!?!).
I've never worked with zip files, but understand it is to compress information to make it easier to transfer, store, etc. Do I have to unzip Stashmaster 1.3 to run it on Microsoft Access 201? If so, the new question is..,.
With the software you suggested and I loaded onto my computer, how do I unzip it? I tried open, add, extract options, looked up help, options, frequently asked questions...but do not see an "unzip" type option. I understand I'm trying to "decompress", but can't seem to find the way to go.
Sorry to be such a dunce! dang, why couldn't one of my kids be a techno computer guru geek?

you should be able to just double click the file and it will unload - windows comes with a zip unloader built in
if you cant unzip it for some reason (new to me) email me and i'll send you an unzipped version - easy peasy

^^DONT DO THIS! access wont open a zipped file
you need to unzip the file first, you dont need Access open to unzip it, just double click on the zip file, run the install program and then click on the little wizard that it will put on your desktop, that will open Access to run the program automatically

Well I got a good start on loading my glass and then hubby gave me a new laptop for my bday - a Mac! So now I'm hoping you will figure out how we can migrate to mac?
Thanks!

How unthoughtful of him!
You can run it on a Mac if you have parallels

If my husband bought me a Mac without asking I'd kick him where the sun don't shine.
Actually, if he bought me a Mac at all. LOL

What a cool idea! I was so excited to give it a try so I downloaded it but there is no program to run. Where is it? This is what I got when I downloaded it and extracted it:
StashMaster13 (Folder)
open that:
Files (folder)- (when I click this see below)
autorun (setup information)-(When I click this I get this message: [autorun]
OPEN=SETUP.EXE /AUTORUN
ICON=SETUP.EXE,1)
setup (Application)- (when I click this it gives me the option of repairing or removing Stashmaster)
Open Files folder:
Setup (File Folder)
Stashmaster13 (windows installer)
Open Setup folder:
setup (configuration settings)- (When I click this I get this message ; SETUP.EXE settings file.
[MSI]
; The MSI section gives the name of the MSI file to install. This file must be in
; the same folder as Setup.exe, and both must be in the root of the installation
; tree.
MSI=\Files\StashMaster13.msi
[Product]
ProductCode={996B5DEA-A89E-47EC-B897-84B7C07706AB})
Please advise! I do have Microsoft Office 2010 with Access
Thanks, Paula

You have to have Microsoft Access 2010 to run Stashmaster.

OOps I thought it was an excel progam but I discovered that it is an Access program. I do have MS Access 2010 but it still doesn't work. There is no program to launch.
Thanks, Paula

I opened MS Access and looked for the Stashmaster13 program found it, clicked on it, showed a file, clicked on it, setup file, clicked on it, nothing!
I already extracted the program and went through the setup. When I try and go through the setup again it shows that I can either repair or uninstall the program.
How ironic that I am messing with Access again! I am taking a college class in MS Office and I got so frustrated with it this evening that I just had to take a break! LOL I must be a glutton for punishment.
