Default It's time to play....Name that color!!`

It's time to play Name that color---(insert game show music here)
I need help.
It's pink! It's pretty, it has striations and the ends look like tree trunks with white and pink.
The streaky pink I have is much, much lighter. This is vibrant.....
So anyone of you seasoned lampworkers have a clue?
Thanks
Irene

I kind think it's EDP. Or one of the Zimmerman canes.

I can't offer any guesses, but they sure are purty! Are you going to be selling it?

Not shocky. I'll try and make a bead with it tonite and show it all to you.
I made one bead with streaky pink and a small one of this color and they look very similar.
I've emailed my gifter but no reply yet. I hope he knows what it is....LOL

I have some that looks similar except that the rods are very think, almost stringer like. It's called light rose and it burns very easily if it's the same stuff. I think it's Reichenbach. I bought it at the Gathering.

Wow! Close. If it's EDP, if you hit it with a high flame it will go back to being purple, at least, that's what I've been told. Good luck. My light rose burnt.

If you find out Loco, let me know and I'll update the color mixing chart and re-name it.

To me it just looks like the Dk. Pink rods I have sitting next to my EDP. Of course, I guess I should have asked i this glass is 96 or 104 coe, effetre, vetrofond, etc.

Now I'm going to have to find out what the color "I" thought was the raspberry really is.

Irene, the middle color looks like the Dark dark pink that was a limited supply. It came out (if I remember correctly) just before the raspberry. It was (yet again) another odd of the 256 dark pink. Then just after the raspberry and cotton candy Dark pink came out. If I get a chance at work tomorrow I'll find all of them and take a picture. I think we still have Dark Pink, Dark Dark Pink odd, Raspberry Dark Pink odd, Cotton Candy dark pink odd, Streaky Pink, Bubble gum pink, Lt. pink that I can photo together.

I have some Effetre dark pink that looks very much like that. I got it last year. Very nice color. The current stuff is not quite the same. If you find out for sure I would love to know its pretty!

Actually, It came out at the same time as the raspberry and the cotton candy because they're all from the same batch. Reenie, I posted a reply in your other thread too. You have Raspberry Pink (the one you're calling Raspberry is correct) and you have Super Dark Pink (the one you're asking about). They're both 256 and came from the same pull. For some reason the pull came out all different colors. If you have any questions, please let me know. I have 'em all!

One more thing. The bead you made with it - it's coming out white b/c you need to strike it a bit. The longer you work it the darker it gets.

I think R4 studios had some of that pink (Top of photo in post #17). They were calling it Purple rose.
Their Perfect Pastel Pink is nice too--does the same thing--strikes to a nice pink (slightly more purply than Streaky)
