Default Tabletop studio - good price?

I'm not financial enough to get one, but if anyone's looking for a tabletop photo studio (light tent setup), there's one over at Hammacher Schlemmer - I bet I messed up the spelling of THAT one! LOL!

The Tabletop Photo Studio.
Ideal for photographing items such as jewelry and collectibles for online auctions or insurance records, or for providing the proper environment for enhancing the hobby of photography, this is the complete tabletop photo studio for use with your own camera that includes two backdrops, a compact light box with an integrated diffuser screen, and two high output lights with adjustable, retractable legs. It comes with two background color choices to provide suitable contrast for both light and dark objects, and the light diffuser balances light while softening distracting shadows for crisp, clear photo lighting. The backdrop folds flat for storage, and the set includes a handle and a built-in carrying case for convenient portability. 16" H x 16 " W x 16" D. (4 1/2 lbs.)

Item 73033 ................... $79.95
Available for Immediate Shipment.

Have fun shopping!

I bought mine on 10/24/07(just looked at the receipt.)
It was $49.84,+ tax and bought it in store in the photo dept.
The company who imports it is called Sakar International.
I live in a kind of small town in Fla.,so I was suprised to find it in stock here!

As I look at the box the item# PS-101.

Hope this helps.

It's a nice little set up, however after reading a few threads, i wish it came with a graduated backround. Maybe I can purchase one somewhere where it would fit with my set up.

I love it when there is a link to a larger image, and when you click it, it's no larger than the original image - LMAO!!!! That's almost as good as the people who promote their website, and when you get there, it 's just a placeholder.

ARGH!!!!

Cat - let me know how it works for you. I'm currently using the ice cream bucket method, but I like the idea of that cardboard box one in the tutorial up there .... I'm getting tired of trying to shoot all my beads from a birds eye view!

For those who have this set up, how do you like it? Would you mind posting a photo or two? I'm looking to improve my photos so they look a little more professional. Thanks!

Hi Nicolebeth

I have this set up( read my previous posts).
Well, what I have to say about this set up: for ME -- I am trying to take some pics to set up my esty shoppe called ' mylittleshoppe '(just a plug!)
Also I am not shooting beads, mostly stainless and clear glass.
Here are some pics taken:

I am still learning, but the lights that come with the kit are not that bright, even when taken near a bright sunny window, and the backround choice of colors are gray and blue. The grey is very textured and shows up kind of purple.

I am going to return it for a full refund and invest on one from tabletop studios. They seem to have the whole package and great customer service. It is best to get a great set up from the start, instead of constantly rigging everything to work properly.
Hope this helps!

Maybe someone else has better luck than me.
