This works on steel, also. If they're rusted, it will take longer.

When I was in the Navy we used to go to the galley and get a cup of the Navy's version of Kool Aid we called bug juice.

It had a good helping of ascorbic acid in it ( vitamin C I think ) and we used it to clean the green tarnish off the brass fittings on all our fire fighting hoses and nozzles and other emergency equipment.

Thanks, Shawnette. If I used this on my presses when does beeswax get used? I have never been sure of the wax but I just know you have the answer

When you notice the glass starting to "tug". You only need a tiny bit of beeswax.
