Rob - Thanks...not my first boro, but my first wavy beads. Your tute just made them look so fun, I couldn't resist.

Rob, thank you for the great tutorial! I finally broke out the boro sample pack that has been collecting dust on my shelf. Here are my very first boro beads. I think I'm hooked!

Edit to add: I've had several people pm me asking what colors I used in the wave beads. I used a twistie made with a clear core and 2 stripes of caramel luster and 2 stripes of blue moon

Deb,
Those look magnificent. I sometimes find that making the twisting is just as much fun as making the beads!

Irene,
When you get to the point where you melt everything down Just go slow and be patient. It should work just fine.

Thank you Rob! I can see that I'm going to need a lot more clear. I noticed that there are several manufacturers. Can anyone recommend one? Thanks!

I didn't see anything on their site - but do you know if they
are still offering a discount for WC and LE members?
I know they did in the past (like, last year - past).
I want to get me some of that Schott Artistic!

A discount would be great! Does anyone know if they still offer one?

This was a fun bead to make. Too bad I did it in such ugly colors

Thanks for a great tut!

Rob thank you for your clear tutorial!
I've been trying these with soft glass and now know that I'm probably melting things in too quickly - your pictures are excellent for showing the process!!

Here's one of mine I did with soft glass, it's a bit of a variation as I only put the twisty around the outside of the disk. And it was made before your tut, so now I can go back and revisit the idea - thank YOU

Tammy - Great first try.
Louise - I kinda like that look, I may try just the twisty on the top.
Deb - Ooooohh, yummy looking. What did you use for the pink ones. I think the color combinations are endless with boro as you never know what you`ll get when you twist 2 or 3 colors together.

Nice Job everyone

Like all boro, they do look better in the sun. Here's what I used for these three.

Pink - Twistie with clear core, 2 swipes of NS Bubblegum, 2 swipes of Am. Beauty (Momka, I think), 2 swipes of NS Mystery Adventurine, 2 swipes of Caribbean Coral (I think that was the name, the label was hard to read, from Momka)

Blue - Twistie with clear core, 2 swipes of something labeled UN (NS unobtanium ?), 2 swipes of Peacock Chameleon, 2 swipes of NS Irrid, 2 swipes of NS Blue Caramel

Dark - Twistie made only of Momka Silver Dance
