Prettiest purple in any COE 90/96/104
If I want to make someone some purple beads, what is the purple you would suggest? If I am going to buy glass for it, COE is up for grabs, I can get a few extra colors to put with it if necessary.
Do you have a particular purple you love, and maybe a few suggestions for what to put with it?
I have several purples in 104,
one Reichenbach in 96 but I forget the name at the moment.
No 90 yet, but I've heard there are some gorgeous colors in 90, so would be willing to try it.
Pictures would be lovely if you care to share.

Wow, so far I don't think I have any of these, but maybe I do have the lilac, I did order a Reichenbach 104 and tucked it away with the "specials" & never tried it, that may be it! LOL

Medium transparent purple over periwinkle makes a luscious purple.

And I've been looking at the enamel samplers thinking maybe purple enamel would be pretty, but can't figure out the difference between sizes, 80 vs 6/20.
I think I need to go get a lottery ticket so I can get some of everything!

Debbie, that's lovely. I notice they say you can use it on top of 104 less than 20% of total glass. Is that what you have done, or is the whole bead 96 COE?

Debbie those beads are gorgeous!! Would you mind sharing what blue you used too? They are just drool-worthy.
This is Reichenbach 104 Lilac (RL-6221):

I just ordered some of this purple and can't wait for it to arrive:

This is my personal favorite though - Reichenbach 96 violet-blue transparent over white (R10-C)

Are you looking for a purple with a blueish tint Eileen? Or more of a reddish tint?

Holy Smokes Batman--these beads are out of this world. They are all so shiny. I'm just all . Debbie awesome beads, you are so creative. Leslie, your Sunny Delight has fantastic color combinations. The Lilac in Girls Night is luscious. You guys are so artistic. It's wonderful to be a newbie and study these colors, techniques (even if I haven't a clue) and creativity. What a great site this is. (yes pun on site). It's a visual treat.

Alli, I just want one that makes my mouth water. I have someone I'd like to make a pendant for and I know she loves purple. Deliciously luscious is the goal.

Gotcha; I suspect you'll find what your looking for in the 96/90 COE glass. I love my CIM Damson, and CIM Eggplant is delish, but they just don't compare to the depth of color I see in in the harder glasses.

I decided I can't do what I want, which is to order a 1/4 pound of each, LOL, but any of those should make her very happy. She is a friend who also is my couple times a year masseuse, and I just want to give her something when I go next time (in addition to the $$ of course!) to say thank you.

Ah ha! I found the tut I was looking for. Chestnut Ridge Designs has a Tut on how to combine transparent and opaques to create different purples. Might be what you're looking for Eileen: http://chestnutridgedesigns.com/sect....aspx?bp_id=22

If it warms up this afternoon I'm going to see how many of these ideas I have glass for that is already in my stash, and make test beads.
