Wow, the teapot, the squares, the pendants, just great. I was inspired to try some stormy weather because of the unbelievable vessel by blair and the pendants by kay and jamn.

Talk about inspiration.....or just envy. I was just out at Vital Aire dropping off a concentrator for servicing. Waiting in the shipping/receiving area. Watching them fill all those oxy tanks. Perchance to dream....

I have been working on developing this style of bead for the past couple of months, this was from a torch session yesterday... I am very pleased with it!
It is 53mm x 17mm.

Heidi - those make me hungry
Brandie - your colors are awesome as usual.

Playing around with TC getting surface luster. These are in the shade.

Erin, the colors are gorgeous in that piece! I have to say, though, kind of looks like a mutant with three testicles! Ever see the ones guys hang on their trucks from the hitch?

I mean this in the nicest way but
The bottom one is swaying in the breeze a bit.
I do think it is pretty and a very cool design.

You guys are funny I also thought it had a bit of a pornographic quality to it... Oh well, it was fun. I have a couple others too. We'll see if they sell!
Here's our stuff. Steve does most of the sculptural work and I do the beads.

Steve and Erin the colors in that are definitely cool! Everyone already twisted my perceptions a bit as far as the shape goes..It would be fun to try squeezing them a bit..er um flattening the individual "dangles"..damn no matter how I say it...
Here's a couple I've been working on..they're coil-potted color, decorated and encased..kind of a bugger to encase over a pattern that's as wide as these started without getting obvious lines. Some turned out better than others in this regard.
I need to work on this though because I really like this look and I know it's possible. A couple ended up being really big by the time I was finished.
This one has a tequila sunrise base with purple luster dots..
Cobalt blue base with NS blue-green dots and some white/trans green murrini.
Blue-green base (I think) with mystery aventurine (love sparkle in this one).
Same colors as the first one..different results..good ol boro..

I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard! I'll have to try "squeezing" the "dangles" next time

Diggin the blue-greens in those Leslie.
Sure am glad you're laughing Erin...that could've gone either way. There's alot of neat ways you could take those seriously.
(Joking aside) After you individually flatten them, you could even punty onto what would then be a disc, and one at a time, pull into a kind of leaf shape,or twist them after flattening, pinch them with pointy tweezers, poke holes in em..stuff like that. Just thought I'd toss some ideas out in case you were bummed about the testicular resemblance..evolve beyond the testicle..geez..sometimes I...just can't shut up..
Ha, idol.. I'm just a homebound fool that spends alot of time at the torch and doesn't do much else, keeps me outta trouble.
I don't offically offer lessons just yet... Shani and I are trying to bust out of the home renting scenario and get into a house of our own. We're actually going to check out a place in Utah, next sunday. It has lots of studio space and from afar it seems pretty ideal for us. We'll se how that goes.
I would like to offer lessons there someday, and may end up travelling more in the future, but for now we're just keepin the nose to the grindstone with what works for us.
I'll be around and keep you posted though.
