I need a 2" square of scrap graphite
It doesn't need to be high grade but it does need to be 1.5 to 2 inches high (no more or less than this) but It could have cuts out of the side if they aren't deep. It must be level. I need it for something I'm building for myself. 2 inches squared would be great.
Anyone have any leads? There used to be a guy on ebay that sold scrap but he's gone now and the only thing I can find is an entire box of the stuff and I have no room at the inn, lol.
What would a person look for locally to find it? Do I call machine shops?

Sundance Glass sells graphite. They have scrap for 6.00 a pound but it isn't listed on their web right now, like the marvering squares are.

I love that but the length is the killer. I could prolly deal with a 2x4 hunk but that's a monster, lol. No room on the bench. Thanks for looking for me though, I appreciate it!

Graphite is super easy to cut.
You can trim it to any size with a hand, non-electric,
hacksaw.
Makes a SERIOUS mess (outdoors only) but it is really
easy to work with.
Graphite dust is electrically conductive so make sure to
keep all graphite cutting and sanding away from appliances
and outlets.
