Asking Australians ?
I am buying a Nortel bead liner from Tasmania & wanted
to know where in Australia you can buy the metal tubing
for it. I know of USA suppliers, but really wanted to buy
from our country. So Aussies, where do you buy your
metal tubing from?
I thought I would buy alittle copper tubing to use first to
learn with, but mainly I wanted to buy silver coloured tubes.
I was wondering if you can use aluminium tubing? Also is
sterling silver alright or do you need the fine silver, which
is very expensive? Thank you

i bought mine from A&E metals (sterling silver), i found the copper hard to get in Aus, the wall is too thick, i ended up buying some from Ginko in the US, brass i bought from Hobbyco would you believe, they use it for model train construction and it was cheap

Yes I got some silver tubing from A and E Metals in Sydney. They're very helpful.
Good luck!

I'm like Deb, bought from A & E and found although the OD was good, the wall was much thicker than ginkos and they wouldn't fit over the Pandora bracelets. I had to use a fine round file and file the insides out a bit. I buy from Ginko!

I haven't had a problem with A & E except when I bought some and didn't have it annealed. Now, I buy it and ask them to anneal it for free in their gas kiln.

I've also bought silver from A&E in Australia and Rio in US. Just had copper, brass and silver from Ginko and will order there from now on, the thin wall cuts clean on my tube cutter and coring is a breeze with my Impress
