Default Morretti / Effetre color # ???

Hi
Have been using this really cool glass it strikes from yellow to orange. It has a small orange core and a nice dark yellow perimeter. I thought I had the number and I need to re-order it.

I think it could be 419 ... but I'm really not sure ... looked at all the color charts I could find and I am pretty sure it's not an odd lot (I haven't bought any of those for fear of not being able to get them again for a repeat order ... I do a lot for jewelry designers and bead stores and they want the "same colors as the last batch").

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Cheryl

OOH…ooh…ooh…

could it be 072 Striking Orange?

I have one right here, looking at it. Seems to be as described.

Hmm, 419 is an opaque color, is your rod opaque or transparent?
It does sound like it could be striking orange by your description.
Maybe a picture would help some if you could post one.

This is a color I've quested for - well, for a long time!!! The 419 I still have (from several years ago) says "Yellow Apricot" on the original tag...it is a very yummie Yellow with streaks of Orange when torched! I've ordered the current 419 a couple times, but I suspect it is sort of an odd lot that you and I love so much - and I've not seen quite the same color come from the current stuff Still, this is close - check here:

Good luck with your quest!

591419 Yellow Apricot......Mine is yellow and the inside has swirls of Dark Orange and the yellow mixed. Great color to use for flowers and topped off with a transparent yellow
I've had this batch for awhile sooo I'm not sure what version you're looking for. I can take a pic of the rods if need be. I know there's a picutre of beads I made using them somewhere on here

Thanks Rachelle, I have 072, 076 and 069 transparents (keep them far, far apart 'cause they all look alike until they strike) ... but ... it is a solid opaque color.

De, I am SOOOOOO hoping it isn't an odd lot ... gonna be bummin' big time if I can't get these same results. My customer (jewelry designer) committed a design to a big candy company for jewelry as prizes in their advertising for the launch of their new candy line (they thought my beads looked like their new candy). Plus it is a regular color that they order.

It sort of looks like the 419 I have seen on the color charts ... but mine rod (before it goes in the flame looks a lot like 412). I got it a long time ago from Ed Hoy's but they don't carry the odd lots (wish they would).

Is there a 414?

I will try and post a pic in the a.m. ... batteries for camera are charging.

Thank you for your help

Oh, Oh, Irene ... you and I posted at the same time. Going to look at your site to see if I can see it. If not, I'll post a pic in the a.m.

You guys are the GREATEST!

Go see what Irene has posted on the link I gave...I think you may have found your Candy color

Good for you on your order, too! Hope it all works out...

Default rod pics

I'm thinking it is 419

Please excuse my horrible looking fingers.

Cheryl, you opened up a whole new can of marmalade…er…worms (marmalade sounds better tho')

Now I am super-intrigued!

What does this delicious color look like after annealing? Is it streaky at all, or is it just a delicious light apricot orange?

Yum, must know! An answer would be good, but a pic would be better

Thanks in advance!

Rachelle ... wish I could put up pics ... sold all I had of the beads I made with it (candies)
It stays the light apricot orange at the end of the rod in the pic above. In looking around tho ... it does resemble creamsicle from CIM.

Marmalade is a yummy reference ... mmmm...
