Here are two of my first flower pendants using Mr Smiley's short video. I want to try the butterfly tut next. I am just now getting the hang of boro and loving it!! Now, if only the colors will cooperate

Those are great Lisa.

Kare - I love your signature beads - colors?

I have done Don's heart and the tube implosion.

The hearts are working (no comparison to Don's but I like the method)

My tube implosion will not see the light of day.

Lisa those pendants are fab. Love the first one and how you did the bail.
Bonny, love the hearts.

Well I did say they would never see the light of day but thought maybe they should. Remember these are my first so be kind.
The second one is the one that rolled out of the kiln and needed fixing.

till later

Nice hearts, Bonny. When I first scanned past the first one, I thought, Oh! MaryJane (Mrs. Fyrsmith) posted one of my small mandrel hearts!
Elise, that is a beauuutiful flower!
Shelly, those marbles are nothing to be ashamed of, especially for first tries.

While I'm here...
for any "not-so-newbies" reading this... WE NEED TUTORIALS!!!
we will be happy with anything, but here is some things we have had request for;
Pulling points
blown beads
implosions (Butterflies, designs etc)
sculpture (fish, birds, anything)
marbles (thank you Cosmo for the vortex tut)
How to get affects with specific colors (i.e. AP group how to work it, what colors work this way)

Unless you specifically ask us not to, we will post tutorials here and on WC ("Glass Art", "glass 101", "boro tutorials")

Please PM DawnT or me with any questions. THANKS!!!!

I just started using bor about a week ago and I did my first Karen Leonardo type flower with a sampler Ron Jr. sent to me. It was easier to do with boro than with the soft glass for me. It is not perfect by any means. I am waiting on a barracuda to get here so this was made on my pirahna.

I know I'm crossposting but I want to be sure everyone has a chance to participate.

There is only 2 more days left to get in on the Clear Boro bulk buy. Check out the link and add your order if you are interested. This is a great deal. Don't let it slip by!

Here is my first blown bead using Heidi's tut. All of my other efforts have been dismal failures that did not even produce an ugly bead. I need to keep practicing but am excited its a BEAD!
