I love mine.

No more double eye wear.

No more sweat letting them ride down my nose like a slow motion avalanche while I have my best bead ever in the middle of adding stringer scroll work.

Plus I no longer have to worry about picking up the wrong shade of blue or some such.

I can just pull the bead out from behind the shield and get a true color and even judge the heat better.

Where to get one is something I can not help with.
I got mine because some posted a craigs list add from the other side of the country and I sent him a check which we waited to clear before he sent me the shield. It was a glass shop shutting down its teaching studio.
I got very lucky.

Thank you. I found one in Canada and my husband said he would get it for me for Christma, but I have never heard of anyone using one. It sounds like a good deal, though I would rather buy in USA.

A "shield" is one of the best purchases that you can make. I have used mine for eight years and love it !
I bought mine from a company in Canada but can't recall the name. The one that Larysa mentioned that is sold by "Phillips- safety" is the same one I have.
Be sure to get the correct type lense for the type of glass that you use. They are not cheap, but they are worth every penny !

The company is Artistry In Glass, Onterio Canada, listed under safety and eye ware.

Yes , that is where I purchased mine. Be sure to get the 6.25" x 6.25" size. You will be glad that you did !
