Default Help Me Choose - Nikon P90 Canon SX10IS or Pentax X70

I am so lost... I have read a ton of reviews.. Lots of negatives, lots of positives for all three.. I am really looking for nice clear closeups that I don't have to do a ton of work to get.. Something that is not grainy in macro mode.

Which should I choose..

Canonhttp://reviews.cnet.com/digital-came...tag=mncol;also
Nikonhttp://reviews.cnet.com/digital-came...?tag=mncol;lst
Pentaxhttp://reviews.cnet.com/digital-came...?tag=mncol;lst

Does it have to be one of those three?

Don't worry about the no image thing, it looks just like the a200 or a350....

At least check out their pricing... It was the best I could find on my Sony A300...

I like the sony cameras but you have to use the memory type sticks with them I believe and I already have a boat load of SD cards.

Major requirements are:
Uses regular AA batteries.
Good Optical Zoom
Takes SD cards.

My son just bought the Nikon P80 and I "borrowed" it and took some really NICE pictures of my beads with it! It's a good camera to take nice, clear close ups or just your standard bead photos. It's easy to use, feels good in your hands and is just an all-round good camera. He read TONS of reviews and found out that the P80 has better reviews than the P90. Plus it's cheaper!

You could also bring some beads to somewhere like Ritz Camera or Shutterbug (if they something like that in your area) and have them show you all of the cameras and take pictures of your beads. That's the way I will do it when I am looking for a new camera (soon!)

Hope this helps!

Ok.... Well you are correct on that one, but a COMPACT FLASH (CF) 4gig card is only $30 and it can hold 900 pictures.......

Uses Lithium ION battery, rechargeable and good for about 700 pictures....

I learned a long time ago sometimes it good to let go of old technology...Oh well........

Well hubby took me out this afternoon to look with my beads.. We took the plunge and went with the Canon.. The P90 was not as good and the Pentax was not available and it took lithium batteries. I really like it..
My old Minolta and GE camera would have never photographed the blue this nicely. I think I will have to change over to my large photo cube. Getting way too much glare though. I like a little but not that much.

It's reflecting the photo cube in the bead.
