Question Dark Pink

I recently purchased some dark pink rods (A-380) to make something for a friend of mine that really likes pink.

I used it yesterday for the first time and all of the color disappeared. Now I have faint pink beads when I was really hoping for contrast.

Is there a trick to using this stuff?

Thanks!

Cheryl

I have what might be a rod, and I keep burning it. I hear alabaster glass is very difficult.

I found this thread on that glass:

Default what was I thinking!

Thanks Eileen! It must be my relative newbie skill set then. the beads in that thread are beautiful and exactly the color I was hoping for.

I'll try turning down the gas a bit and keep my fingers crossed that I don't burn it up which sounds like exactly what I did. and it was only in the flame for a few seconds!

touchy touchy stuff I guess.

You have to melt it way way way out in the back of the flame practically, not in the normal working area of the flame. Gotta work it way out there too. The colour is to die for though - very pretty!
