Hi Kim,
I just talked with Linda from BE, she's going to e-mail me the information
on purchasing with discounts and I can forward it on to you if you like.
I've been purchasing from them for about four years, I get a 50% discount on orders over $250.00 for 'torchwork' items. There's more information in the
e-mail also. If you PM your e-mail, I'll send it as soon as it comes.

I have been told that once you purchase their "studio stocker" which is about 300 something, you are eligible for the discount.

Yes, I've done it. If you spend $500, you get a 50% discount. So your tab would be $250, as I recall. I did it years ago. But it's in effect for life, and there is no minimum after that.

There's actually have more than one type of discount.
They have one the call 'Professional' and that get's
you 50% off on frits and other things. You only have
to have a Business License or Resale # and there is
no minimum there. With the 'Rodz' discount, you only
have to spend $125.00 ($250.00), not hard to do when
buying pretty glass So, between the two, for the
most part you get 50% off just about everything.
I'm expecting an e-mail from them any time, if it's not
big of a file, I'll post the information when it comes through.

OK, so I was a little off, sorry.
Here's the info on the 'Rodz' deal:
STUDIO RODZ PACK DISCOUNT GUIDE
The Studio Rodz Pack Rodz Discount Program
The Studio Rodz Pack is an ample sampling of all colors we make in rod. To view the complete line of Bullseye Glass for torchworking, visit http://www.bullseyeglass.com/pdfs/rod_2005_flyer.pdf
The Studio Rodz Pack contains:
1/3 pound of rod in each color Bulleye produces
1 full pound of 0101 Stiff Black
1 full pound of 0137 French Vanilla
1 full pound of 1101 Clear
The Studio Rodz Pack does not contain the 1401 Crystal Clear or the two lustre rod colors. These can of course be purchased separately if you wish. All colors are clearly labeled and separately banded. Total shipping weight for the pack is 32 pounds. Price for the Studio Rodz Pack is just $327, which is more than 50% off the full retail price.
Once you purchase this pack, you are automatically enrolled in our Torchwork Discount Program. On subsequent orders of torchworking glass (rodz, stringer, full tubes of sizzle stix, streaky color stix), you can earn 50% off the retail price for these torchworking glasses simply by reaching $250 retail. So, an order of $250 worth of rodz, stringer, full tubes of sizzle stix, or streaky color stix would cost you just $125.
There is more info in the e-mail on the other discounts. If you would like
me to forward it to you just send me your e-mail in a PM.

Lynne, would you forward it to me at tink@blackswampglassworks.com ? I had it myself until a computer crash earlier in the year. I did the initial rod stocking order thing, but need to look into being able to get sheet glass and frits and cullet, too. Thanks!

Hi, I did this too, about 3 years ago. It's a great deal. The only thing is that I like Schott clear, which used to be included, but I dont' believe they are carrying it any longer.

Arrow Springs has Schott clear and there are sellers on ebay too.
I love Bullseye. It is my glass of choice. My Moretti is gathering dust. I love Bullseye's consistency, the rod sizes (diameter and length), the colors, oh the colors, pinks to die for and all the 'gotta have' special production colors.

I love Bullseye!
I got the Starter pack for Christmas two years ago, great gift eh?
I am not sure where to get Schott clear now but I find the BE clear to be just fine for what I am doing.
Kimberly I cannot wait to see what you do with the BE palette!

I'm thinking of going more towards BE too. I love the colors, specially the pinks, and the fact I don't have to pay shipping!! (they are right here in town). I almost got a sampler pack $135 one, but they didn't mark ANY of the colors, and that would drive me mad.
Moretti is a lot cheaper and I've got plenty so I'll keep using it too. Just got to make certain I keep the two glasses separated!!

It's well worth it! And if you are registered as a business in your state you can get the regular business discount too, which applies to frits and sheet glass.
Bullseye is one of the friendliest companies out there to do business with - if you have any questions about it, just call them and ask, they're really pleasant and easy to talk to.
Last time I checked they still had the Schott... but I never use it, I prefer the 1101 clear. It's very buttery.

Just went to my supplier today (Ed Hoy) to fill orders and stock up on sheet glass. Got some beautiful BE to do some fusing. I get a pretty good price on the Bullseye rods and they carry all the wonderful colors too. Opening an account there is not that hard. You just have to spend a minimum of $700.00 and that's on anything they sell, (stained glass, supplies, kilns, torches, tools, you name it.) then you'll get really good prices on BE rods without having to spend $500.00 just on rods, which I'm sure would be very easy to do. You do have to be a business owner though.
But Kimberly, you would only have to sell one of your gorgeous seahorse beads, and you're good to go at BE.
I tell you what, let's do a trade. I get one of those seahorses and you can have some of my bulleye rods. Deal or no deal?

So since this is all about Bullseye I have a question.
I have some rods in many different colors and have played with it somewhat.
I do love to use it when I want good pinks and purples.
I don't find many of the colors I have tried to be reactive colors. The only one I know of is French Vanilla. Is there more than that one color that is a reactive glass?
Making a lot of organic style beads it is important to me.
Thanks for the info,

Hi Shawn - the antique white odd, the ocher yellow odd and maybe the new peachy keen odd are also reactive. Kalera has some great pics on her site that you can often use to judge reactivity.
Good luck!

Bullseye does not carry Schott anymore. Arrowsprings is a good source. I still prefer Schott but it's stiff as all heck. The newer Bullseye clear is pretty darn good stuff, minimal complaints.
Cheers, Larry

There's not a lot of organics so far, but I posted a link here that tells you were to go for Bullseye to fill out your dream sheet on wants and needs from them. They really want to hear from everyone who does beads on why they like/hate bullseye, like/hate other companies glass, what you'd like to see color wise show up soon (like a special catagory for some permenet odd lots like agate, creme brulee, chameleon and such that can't be standardized to their requirements) a list that notifies everyone at the exact same time when odd lots come out? Color paddles showing what the odd lots change too? Their already going to move to a monthly release of odd lots which is a good bonus for us.. I think the email list with paddles is a GREAT idea too. So everyone should check out the link (did I pump it up enough?? I have a bet on how many folks will click and fill it in... So prove a point for me please??

Arlene,
I filled it out it was fun and easy to do.
Glad to see they are wanting to hear how to improve their glass for us to use.
Thanks for the Link.

I just got my studio pack last week, and am thrilled with the service and the glass. The discount makes Bullseye completely affordable. My sales person was Linda Plackett.
Now to store the Moretti.....

The opaque white will act as Moretti's Anice White in small/thin applications such as stringer, dots or petals; if you cook it, it will develop that brown line/center.
