I just received my CIM Leaky Pin.
My leaky pen came in today. I haven't had the chance to play with it yet but is it a tricky color to use? I love the blue color. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

It's such a saturated color, it is best to put a very thin layer over white.

It looks awesome over Turquoise, Sky Blue and Periwinkle pastels for flower petals! That's what I use it for, but I'm going to try to encase a white base bead with it. I'll bet that will look pretty. Hmmmm...I'll bet it would make a great color to use in a twisty, too.

Nothing special to using it, but it is really dark. Use it with white or between layers of clear so you can really see it.

I have found it doesn't spread over white or dark pink as I like it to as a flower petal. But I made encased stringer with odd slate blue as an interior color and again with uranium pastel as an interior and love the results. Here are some pictures.

Oh, they are gorgeous. I finally got to play with it some last night. I noticed that leaky pen is a little stiff . I'm still on a hot head so that could be why. I used a reduction flame and got a pretty reduction on the glass. Well I also received the book Passing the Flame so I'm playing around with the book and the new color. I did have one bead that the leaky pen looks black and yucky. I put it over Dark Ivory but I did something wrong and Yuck!

Dark ivory is very reactive you have to be careful what you put on it or its dark brown and yukky
