Default Glass Rod Slicing question

Could someone please tell me what is the best way to cut slices out of glass rods ? Also, would cutting at an angle be done the same as a vertical slice ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks,
Debbie A.

I use rod nippers (you can get them at any place that sells mosaic tile stuff) for cutting vertical slices from my rods. Not sure what to do about an angled slice tho...

Thanks Jo ! I have the nippers and will give it a try. I was just hoping there might be a better way ? Especially with the angled cut.

I wonder if you could take a wet tile saw and cut it. Might shatter though. I will try it tomorrow and see what happens. It might be better if you use a glass saw to do this. I don't have one of those though. It would be wonderful to have.

LOL, when I read the title of this thread, the first thing I thought of was the glass rod that sliced through my finger in September ... Actually, the stitches hurt more than the slice.

I like nippers, and use the rotary cutter thing only when I know the wheels are tight (I didn't tighten them in Sept., and they slid off the rod, and the end of the rod slid through me)...
