Mike, that is great news! Has Pat tested it and worked with it? Is it The Real Deal?

I have been hoping for Carnelian for so long!

Pat no longer makes beads, she is now a farmer, growing organic veggies in a 2400 square foot greenhouse. She is raising fish for food in the pond that is in the greenhouse. The plant beds are 4x8 foot and raised off the ground, and filled with round 3/4 inch rock. Water is pumped from the pond, into the plant bed and then it goes back into the pond, doing this 24/7. Fish poops in water, water feed the plants, total recycling. Pat is also a mushroom farmer. No time for beadmaking.

As soon as we can test and take photos, we will post here on LE.

Wow Mike, I need to tell that to our son. He's doing it small scale, with a tray of lettuce (this year, last was something else) and a small aquarium

Mike, that is amazing! Just as long as *you* stay interested in glass, we can let Pat work wonders with the ecology.

Default I Have A Photo

See photo of 591536 on earlier post. It looks lovely and was easy to work with.

Default The Real Deal Carnelian

After comparing the paddle of carnelian to the photo of the paddle, I would say the actual paddle is LESS orange and MORE carnelian.

Hope this helps

Here are my first test beads with the new Carnelian. The longer I worked the beads, the darker raspberry-ish tgey got. Love all the peach-pink variegations.
I can't say how it compares with the old version, because I didn't work with before.

Default Carnialian by Effetre rocks!!!

Hello Judith, those beads are really nice. I think the carnelian by Effetre rocks! We brought in 100 pounds by air, normally that would last us a year, but I am afraid (in a good way) that your pictures will force other beadmakers to give the opalino a try.
