Chad,
It took them about 5 days to get back with me with an updated shipping charge. It takes a while, but they'll get back with you.

Eric,
Thanks for the suggestions of backing colors. I'll try those colors behind the TS....I have them all and hopefully something will look good. I tried encasing Pom with TS and it looked just like Pom. It's getting frustrating, but I keep thinking that I'll be taking the Doug R class in June, so I'm sure that will help me!

I just received my tequila sunrise this afternoon and glastique actually payed 20 dollars for shipping, it's absolutely ridiculous, I've never ever had such high shippingfees on such a small amount of glass, I'll be sure to tell them to look for another shippingcompany cause this is a ripoff ( by the postals, not by GA).

Anyway enough about the shipping on my part, I made three test beads and this is the weirdest glass ever.

First bead I made was a disc ( just TS) and encased in clear. I made sure it had no haze before encasing it, I made sure it did not strike when encasing, and I let it cool. It was completely clear. Then I flame struck it and it turned really really weird. It struck pretty easily but when I cooled it a bit to see what had happened it turned completely white, and when I held it in the light... it was translucent pink.....
The other two beads where exactly the same color so I'll be kilnstriking instead of flamestriking tomorow

Suzanne

This is a blown bead made with Teq. Sun mixed with Ruby Strike 4.
Dougie has his own pink, can this one be mine?? Nevermind, I don't want a pink.. maybe a sea green. This is really magenta anyway, or fuschia or something, isn't it?

In conclusion, I present a spiral made with Tequila Sunrise and it's first cousin, Persimmon Strike.
Juln, these are all fantabulous! Nice job, and thanks for all the tips.
