Default Reichenbach Purple Rose 104

I love Reichenbach's 104 Purple Rose, but it is tricky to work with.....(for me)

Is it a striking glass?

Sometimes it will be opaque like I think it should be... and sometimes it winds

up being transparent... or sometimes it is invisible!

Has anyone else experienced this?

Joan

I am very interested in the answer. I pick up some at The Gathering and I haven't tried it yet. I lovingly pet it often

I love it, a really deep purple. It's similar to EDP though, so you want to give it a nice even heat before putting it in the kiln as quick reheats or spot reheating will cause devitrification.

You know, I had some EDP go transparent on me. I wonder if I had accidentally picked up a rod of purple rose? I think it's just the nature of the glass. (?)
It makes pretty little beads by just using it alone. When I have tried to use it on something, it's not as pretty (or as visible) as I thought it would be.

It is reassuring to know I am not the only one who has experienced this.
It is such a lovely purple!
I have been working on what it likes to be layered with.
So far (most of the time) it really likes to be layered over dirty martini. It holds its deep purple with a transparent purple around the edges.
Also nice on Atlantis.

For me it works up as a very saturated opal dark purple. Much darker than EDP. The devit burns off relatively easily. If you want a more pastel dark purple, try the Reichenbach 104 Lilac.
