Default Help with color

I have a request for an orange and maroon bead. (college colors) I have used enamels for organic beads and am able to get a pretty maroon. Now someone wants floral and dot beads. I have tried with enamel stringers but they were not very good. Is thier a glass rod that matches close to a maroon color.

Thanks for your help..........Deena

Maroon is one of those elusive colors in the moretti glass world. I know I've seen someone post a combination that was in that line but don't remember the colors. If you use Cranberry Reichenbach over pink moretti that might do for flowers.

Try moretti's medium or dark purple tranparent over dark red opaque.

Great color mixing chart by Kitty (ListenUp). There looks to be a couple of potential maroon-ish colors on there.

=)

I always use Dark Red Brown for maroon (also a popular school color around my family). Now it may just be the lot that I received but it looks perfectly maroon and not really brown.

I use med transparent purple over dark purple red to get a gorgeous burgandy. I would bet dark transparent purple over dark purple red would be more maroon.
