I'm guessing (hoping) you mean annealing time and temp. If I were you I'd delete your first post and start over, because "raping" isn't a word that's going to get you a lot of positive answers!

Might get a lot of hits though. LOL I use the same schedule for BE, Uroboros and Effetre. Never seem to have any problems.

Good grief - I wasn't being rude! And I certainly don't need you to apologize for me. If I had realized "ramping" was the word, I would have said so.

Flaming Beads, I think most people use the same schedule for Uroboros as Moretti and Bullseye, like SunSpot said. I don't know that off the top of my head, but I'm sure you could find it in a search of this forum.

I thought she meant "rapping time"...as to get together and chat about how you work this class. I didn't even catch that it was "ramping." Guess I am getting old and slow of wit.

Hi Amelia-
didn't mean to come off rude--sorry it came across that way....
I wanted to make sure Flaming Beads meant ramp time before I answered the question.

950 - 1000 degrees for most. Depending on how thick the glass is, soak at least 30 minutes to an hour. You can never over anneal. I usually anneal smaller fused (i.e. around 1" - 2" cabochons 3 layers thick) items for 30 minutes. Works for me.

LOL! Kevan you crack me up!

Ramp down time would be around 85-125 degrees/hr through the stress point and then you can go faster after the stress point.
There is a great chart on Annealing and Ramp Down rates in Contemporary Lampworking book by Bandhu Dunham

I've certainly f'ed a few, that's for sure. I just can't adhere to any sort of schedule. If only I had one, I would avoid that time when making beads.

They say no, but they really mean yes. Some beads like it rough.

You know, you start with looking at bead porn on the internet, next thing you know..........your husband catches you in a compromising position with an encased floral.

I think we all know how seductive glass can be...

Jeez, I knew a guy somebody called "pencil d--k" (can't say for myself whether it was deserved or not). I thought that was pretty insulting, but "mandrel d--k" would be beyond the pale.

Sorry -- don't use COE 96 glass, so can't contribute any useful information (just my usual lowering of the tone of the discussion).
