Question Breaking Rings troubleshooting

Hey there everyone, I have another newbie question lined up here. Basically, I've been having a lot of fun lately making rings, unfortunately, they have a really bad habit of breaking into two. I'm not sure what's causing this, as they are annealed properly in a friends kiln. Perhaps they're just too thin? I'd say they're about a quarter inch thick, not exactly paper thin. Or is it the mix of glass? Am I using too many, I mean, they're all melted in properly. I've made about one or two successful rings in the past few days, and I noticed that they were the ones that were only made out of one or two glass colors. Any advice or help would be appreciated, I'll try and post some pictures later on!

Need a little more info. What kind of glass are you using? Boro? Soft glass? What COE? And what colors were in the mix for the ones that broke?

It sounds like your batch annealing.
Some of the Coe 104 glasses not compatable or are tricky to work with.
Are you encasing?
What do the breaks look like?
Are the beads coming off the mandrel easily?
