Replacement Oxy/fuel hoses
Hi everyone! Without ordering online, can I buy replacement hoses (for GTT lynx) at lowes or Home Depot?
Please confirm that the hose should be 1/4" t-grade with BB fittings.
Thanks
Duane

1/4" T-grade with B fittings is the standard, and T-grade is important. Not sure if you can get them at the hardware store - any welding supply places around?

I think you are not limited to 1/4 inch.
You should be able to get 3/8 inch if that is all that is available but your right about the T grade with propane.
They should all come with the same size B fittings.
Unless the you are planning on cutting the hoses for some reason, the diameter won't make any difference.

You can get them at a welding shop. Some are open Saturday. Just look around if you need them today.

In my opinion, you need to stay with the 1/4" ID hose because the hose attachments on the Lynx are small and are more studs with grooves rather than barbs with teeth.
I don't recall seeing hose at either Home Depot or Lowes and only remember seeing torch heads that mount on bottles.

Do you have a Tractor Supply in your area?
Or an Ace Fleet and Farm or Hills Fleet and Farm?
Happy Hunting.

Yes. The lynx has studs that require 1/4". You might be able to clamp on 3/8 but its not good for,the integrity of the hose.

Ah, my mistake. I thought the BB fittings referred to the screw thread fittings not barbed studs.

My HD and lowes have them, but only one size/length option and the price is a little high.
Should be in among the welders.

Yes, both Home Depot and Lowe's generally carry hose for gas welding. However, when I looked for "T" type hose they did not carry it. Only the non "T" type which is less costly.
Your best bet is Air Gas, Air Liquide or other welding supply firms.
