Default Thompson Enamels

Hello!

I just received my thompson enamel sampler and have a question before I give them a try.

I seem to remember reading that the beads are sticky when you use enamels. Are they going to be too sticky to cool in my fiber blankie?

I dont use enamels yet but I think I remember it as the enamels "stick" to the bead more than the regular frit does, not that your bead will be sticky. I think you will be fine with the fiber blanket

Thanks Brandie!

I can't wait to try these.

I am off to Lowes to try to find a respirator.

Just a little aftercare warning about using enamels. The particles are very fine and some really can 'drift' on a breeze to settle around your workspace. I think it's a REALLY GOOD IDEA to clean up your immediate space right after working with enamels. Use a spray bottle with water and wipe everything down, don't do it dry. That'll keep all the glass dust (enamel and otherwise) settled down.

This has been a glassy public service announcement.
