If you hate cleaning beads
I read about this stuff several years ago on LE. Someone else had posted about how great this bead release is--and it is!!! Bead holes clean easily and there's no need for a dremel. I use the mandrel in water to ream the bead hole which cleans both the hole and the mandrel. On a rare occasion when there's operator error and the release breaks on the mandrel and the edge of the bead hole has a slight edge coated with well-cooked release on it, (again, my error), that's the only time I need a metal file to remove the release.
I don't receive anything for this endorsement, but I caught a convo here where folks were saying how much they disliked cleaning beads, so I thought I'd share my experience. Check it out! Karen

I agree entirely.
It's too expensive for me to use solo so I mix it half and half with home prepared Alices kiln wash.
(I think that's the right name. )

Thanks for the info!
My Dremel just bit the dust after years of abuse and I've been cleaning my beads with the mandrel, lots of elbow grease involved! I'll try this bead release before purchasing a new Dremel tool

I have a giant tub of this, so I'm happy to know about this as well!

I use Alice's too, half and half with whatever my bead release of the day is. Lately I've been liking Arrow Springs Blue Sludge. The beads come off easily and clean well. I still use a dremel. Someone mentioned they use an ultrasonic tumbler to clean theirs. Has anyone here used one for that?

Do you have any photos of a transparent beads, so we can see the bead hole and how frosted it is (or isn't)?

For me Fusion is the same, I only need to use the mandrel it's made on to clean with but I do use a dremel on small beads only because it's faster to go brrrrrrp really quick with one.

This photo from their website shows the hole clarity pretty well.
You need to call to order as they don't have a cart system on their website. I think they are more of a gallery with a nifty bead release. Unfortunately I don't remember the cost. It does come in two sizes which I ordered the big one so it's been a while! Karen

Last time I looked it was $50.
Yikes. You can't even order it now without calling them.

The bead release is 50.00?
If you have to call, I'm out, I'm third shift and only think of calling places in the middle of the night. I have notes every where to call places

Self-cleaning bead release sounds tempting (although having to call makes it unlikely i'll ever get to try it), but how strong is it? I make big beads on small mandrels, work really hot, and put all sorts of stress on the bead release; blue sludge is the only one i've tried so far that can put up with all the abuse, and even that frequently gives out before I'm done. How well does the KRAG Mudd hold up?

I don't think it would work well for all that tugging.

So that is 50.00 for 16oz? Yikes. Too bad, sounds like good stuff!
I think they would sell a whole lot more if it was less expensive and therefore make profit with volume.
Maybe they need to turn it over to someone to just sell release. Being that they are a gallery they're probably not wanting to be in the bead release business.
