Raku question
Newbie here...
Was practicing different things, one of which was raku frit.
Mine is coming out very pale peach and very pale greenish-yellow.
Can someone offer pointers to make the color come out like I've seen other people do, or is it not very likely going to happen on a hothead?
Thanks in advance!
Laura

Laura, there's a great thread about it here:
http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=20601
A tutorial on getting raku to do its thing.

I found raku very difficult on the HH, I do like the peachy color you got though.

Tougher on a HH, thought I've been told if you use more reactive colors it does nice things - opal yellow? Sage? Avacado? I only tried the yellow so far and it looked better than the typical baby poop going into the kiln...

There are different colors of Raku?
I guess I also need to read up on "reactive colors". I tend to leap first and look later.
Thanks guys!

Sorry if I wasn't clear - the reactive I was talking about was the base color, not the raku.
I think there was a thread going in the tips/techniques on reactive colors?

Laura, actually I like the peachy and green tones you're getting - that's awesome!
Here's what I get with a HH on Ivory using Raku frit - I don't use any other base right now as I'm lovin' this reaction.
What base are you using - the blue bead?
