Default Jury pics

Hi:

I need help with preparing digital photos for jurying. They need to be 1920 x 1920. When I download them from my camera, they are 2288 x 1712. I know how to crop and decrease the 2288, but how do I increase the 1712 to 1920?

Thank for any help anyone can provide. I just have basic editing software. Do I need to buy something more powerful?

Your editing software should have a resizing function. It will probably let you resize by a precentage or by a number of pixels. Check your help function.

One possibility is by first cropping your picture to 1712 x 1712. That will make it a square. Then resize it to 1920 x 1920. The first step makes it a square, and the second will bring it to the correct size.

I'll post this same answer in the Bathroom.
Hopes this works for you. I've tested it with my software (Corel Paint Shop Pro 4) and it works pretty well.
