Glass ON THE END of my TORCH!
how do i remove glass that i had accidently touched my red max torch with while it was molten. iv tried scraping it and poking threw holes with the torch tool. but nothing seems to work. have i just ruiened my torch?? do i need to get a new one? or can this possibly be fixed somehow? please any help would be soo great. im really worried ill have to get a new torch...

Run it, get the end good and hot and then plunge just the end into cold water. This will shock the glass and cause it to crack and hopefully fall out of the holes in the face of the torch. Repeat as necessary. Keep the oxy running while you do it, so it can help push out the glass.

will water wreck my torch? it seems a little sketchy? but that does sound like a good idea. just dont wanna screw anything else up.. thanks for the reply

Nope, it won't. Sounds scary I know. In between dunks, try using the wire that came with the torch to pick out pieces. Be careful not to push them in though - always have the oxy running to keep some outward pressure.
Don't use anything but the cleaning wire IN the holes - they are a particular size.

Thanks for the idea I tried a bunch of times dousent seem to be working tho.. i think i really messed up this time. gunna call nortel tommorow and see.
