straight, crisp tab press?
Hard to tell from photos...is there a tab press that makes really crisp, non rounded edges? Maybe it's just flame-softening people do to round them, but I can't tell.

I think a press that gives that shape is called "spree".

Yes, Firefrost. I want very crisp edges and flat sides, not rounded.

Hm. I was looking at that one, but I want a flat top, too! Not rounded. I'm sure I can ask a maker for one, but, figured something like this must exist.
straight sides, flat top and bottom. Her tabs might do it, if they are crisp corners coming out of the mold.

The Zoozii Tab Trio makes sharp edges if you use enough glass and don't soften the edges with the flame.

Cattwalk has a 1" round Tab that looks like it has straight sides and a flat top/bottom.

The tabs are very very straight. I have the smaller tab tile duo and it's such a crisp edge that I get the glass stuck in the press.
Just a note, I recently got a pearlnpress press that is a flat back but domes top w/straight sides and it's really really nice crisp edges. I'm very pleased with the press. Very easy to use too. My first try was perfect. No learning curve whatsoever ever.

Thanks! I ordered a tab trio, hopefully it will do what I like. If it gets stuck in the mold, the bead, that sounds good, actually.
