Default Hot pink?

As I understand it the best wat to get this color is to put NS light yellow over red. The question I have is which is the best NS red?

Thanks!

I am a fan of pomegranate. Oh, and a note, try a layer of clear between the red and the yellow. I was having trouble getting this combo to work with unlabelled red shorts I was using then, at least until I did that. YMMV but keep it in mind

Are you talkin like a bead? for a hot pink bead I start with a core of serindipity cane, then a small layer of amber purple, oh some clear frit, then clear on top. beautiful hot pink bead. be sure to get the whole thing clear hot after layering, then let it cool until no glow, and I like to flame strike, or depending on your kiln program, put it in the kiln, & let it kiln strike. If you want a darker pink go with silver creek in stead of AP.

For an amazing bright fruit-punch pink, try NS extra-light yellow over NS orange. It's killer!

I would try NS extra light yellow over any red you have - experimentation is half the fun with boro. I just wish I could remember what I used to make a fantastic pink/magenta set, but I have a horrible feeling it was a 'gifted' short

Default Try different Reds

I took a wonderful class with Nancy Tobey at Corning. We Did 10 or so different combos to test the colors and reaction each of us got. We used, Pomagrane, NS Ruby, NS Orange, and clear. Make sure to try with the clear in between also. It is worth the little extra effort and time/

That's a beautiful color -- good luck! I don't have any idea, but I hope you figure it out!

Actually... take a look at the TAG Mai Tai thread: http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...68#post4025468. It's pretty hard to get solid opaque colors with no variation when using boro striking colors, but some of the shades of pink look pretty close to the color you want.

I get cool pinks out of TAG yellow Elvis over periwinkle. It's not consistent though.
