anyone know how to polish cast resin?

I had to touch up some cast pieces with sandpaper and now I need to polish it - any ideas how to do it? I have felt polishing pads for my dremel but that did not work - it made it worse in fact. I think it generated too much heat.

Do it by hand.... Use something like superfine rubbing compound (automotive paint finish restorer) then "polish" with mildly abrasive automotive polish....

Any fiberglass cleaners/polish may work also....
