You might want to check out GLDG, another forum. A lot of them do pipes.

possible and reasonable are two different things. You might be able to do it, but it would be difficult to do some things that would be pretty easy on something a little larger..and The GLDG has lots more about this...

I learned on a Minor. You'd be surprised what you can do on a Minor. I have made sherlocks, hammers, stemless, etc. on a Minor. Spoons are no problem at all.
You just have to work on getting everything heated up evenly.

The minor is frequently under-rated. It's really a nice torch, especially if you're working on tanked.

I still have and love my 1992 Minor, it's like the Volkswagen beetle of torches -- virtually indestructible. I'd say boro can be done on that torch, but how much patience do you have?? I once pulled a portrait murrini on that minor and it must have taken at least four hours just to pump enough heat into that sucker to pull it. I admit I have a couple of torches now, and can switch them out for larger or smaller jobs.

Quite possibly the funniest thread currently in the room.
(but really, get a cricket & run it on a couple of concentrators--you'll get WAY more heat )
And NO ONE TELL MY BROTHER HE CAN DO THIS WITH *MY* TORCH, PLEASE!!!
