Default Finally Done with my Setup

Hi everyone

It took way longer than I had hoped to get my setup complete. Surprisingly, it was the gas connections that too ages, because people over here are quite ignorant when it comes to what fitting standard is used on cylinders here, so finding adapters to convert them to the American CGA standard was a nightmare.

While I would have preferred to buy regulators locally, both regulators I bought, from two different supply stores were passing. That is, I could not isolate the gas and there would always be a flow across the regulator - not good!

But it's done and I can finally run my torch!

(For what it's worth: National Torches' Regulators are fantastic. They allow for perfect isolation of the gas, they have built in pressure-relief valves, and their valve design allows for very careful tuning of output pressure)

Looks wonderful! Where are you getting fresh air from?

Hi!

Thanks so much! There's an industrial-sized exhaust fan on the wall on the right. It's rated to clear the entire volume of air in the room in about 60 seconds. With the window open, there's more than enough ventilation.

You know... I've only been at this for three days and I already feel like I'm losing the battle against entropy. I shudder when I think what it's going to look like in, say, a year.

I have serious 'studio envy'.

However;

It's entirely too clean and well organised for me.

Do you want me to send you a bunch of junk to spread around the room so that it looks lived in?

I have a lot on my bench to spare and even more in my garage (just ask my wife, she'll tell you)

Edited to add: Kathy and I think alike only she types faster than I do !

Hehe I'm generally a very organized person. But if it makes you feel better, I can post back a picture after a year so you can see how much this place has descended into chaos.

Well, it would prove that you weren't an alien sent from another planet to take over the earth.

Something along these lines is what you have to look forward to. LOL If I clean it, I can't find anything. Have fun!

That's not even that messy. You don't have stuff on top of stuff. That's where you get in trouble lol.

You are going to have to find a few more layers to coat that with Sheri.

Along with at least half dozen fire code violations if you want to compete with the professionals.
