Me and the flame did have a wonderful date today. I burned through my entire tank of 02 so I could get a fresh tank for demoing this weekend.

Two paperweights and lots of fun with your frit samples and playing more with Sparkly Thunder.

Hopefully I can snap quick pix tomorrow!!

I brought them home but didn't photo yet. I can try to do it now but it's dark outside so they will be less than stellar (it's raining ... again).

Not a specific Momka frit but let me tell you ... Hippie Chick comes out of the kiln ... beeeaaautiful

edit: tried to photo ... just doesn't do any of it justice. Working tomorrow and show Saturday ... so umm Sunday next photo op during opportune lighting hours.

And on the note of Momka frit experiments ... I have 46 lbs of Momka glass winging/or trucking it's way too me. And I don't know how much Sparkly stuff from TAG. I gave Jenny carte blanc to toss in whatever she thought I would like. OMG the UPS man is gonna hate me and I'm gonna feel like it is Christmas!!!

Laura, have fun with all that glass! And I'll hold myself in check until you can post pics (although I'm r-e-a-l-l-y anxious to see 'em!!!).

Played with some Momka and a new frit blend tonight. Kind of blah going into the kiln so not sure what will come out. Tapping fingers impatiently....

Okay ... as promised ... even if a day late. Here is my latest play with Sparkly Thunder ... I wanted to see what it would do with Aurora. Who knew I'd end up with a Magenta base.

I'm gonna start a new thread for Hot Flash Frit pix. Don't want to side track the Momka Frit.

Then I'm back to the torch to test some Momka frit before ABR's sale ends so I can decide whether to increase the amount of glass I'm buying. Whooot!

Laura, beautiful!!! My favs are the two smaller bicones on the right. Just stunning. Haven't played with either ST or Aurora so might need to order some of that. Darn, more glass!

Default More Tests

I'm gonna be a thread hog for a moment.

My latest round of testing.

First ... scarlet pink:

Lustrious Blue ... the photo just doesn't capture it. And it disappeared on the black bead and doesn't show at all in the photo

Aurora Trails ... I like this one better encased ... the middle bead is unencased (BTW this was a short ... not frit)

Silver Dance ... again the photo doesn't show how kewl they came out in person.

And my favorite ... Antique Beauty ... the more I struck it the prettier it got.

Time to go grind some frit.

Tag sells frit. I love the purple sable, wisteria, and pink cadillac best.

Yes TAG sells frit of some of their colors but I had a discussion with Jenny about some of their other colors. They don't have the time or staff to work on getting all there colors into frit.

So Jenny hooked me up with some sparkly seconds/odds and I've been making my own.

Yup ... sorry. Grabbed them out of the kiln yesterday and cleaned them last night. Got home too late Saturday to photograph. Wanted sunlight to try to get the sparkles to show up.

Started a new Thread for TAG Sparkle Frits.

Let me know what ya think. I'm lovin the Stardusts!!! and was already in love with the Leprachun and Moss and Spaghnum already from rod form.

Thanks for the bump, Kristin! I've been neglecting this thread! We have a hockey tournament this weekend, but I'm hoping to sneak in some torch time between games. I'll make a point to reach for Momka's colors. Feel free to share any pics you might have. I'll go see if I have anything recent that involved Momka frit.

Have a great weekend!
